Map an asset

To map is when you attach an asset to one or many capability blocks to use as evidence for your work. A justification can be added to explain its inclusion.

What is mapping?

A capability block is used to record your skills, knowledge or behaviours, and where multiple blocks are used, this is known as a capability framework.

To confirm your abilities, evidence is typically requested to be added. In PebblePad, there are two ways to do this:

1. Map evidence

One asset may evidence multiple skills, and can therefore be used for multiple capabilities - in the same framework, or different frameworks. Mapping is a way to do this in one action.

2. Add evidence

One capability may need multiple assets to be added to collectively provide sufficient evidence. Adding evidence is a way to do this in one action.

It is not possible to map to a template or workbook which itself has mapping enabled.
