On completion of your studies, you can convert your institution account to a free alumni account to retain access to your assets and the use of PebblePad tools.
An Alumni account is free while your institution licences PebblePad, plus three years.
Create an alumni account
A new PebblePad account is created and linked to your institution account. The alumni account will have its own username and password, which you choose during set up.
To create:
- From the burger menu, choose Additional settings > Free Alumni accounts.
- Read the notice to confirm, and click Continue.
- Choose a username and type into the field.
- Use the Check Availability button to confirm it is available.
- Type a personal email address, different from your university account.
- Click Continue.
- (Optional) Answer the two questions by choosing answers from the dropdown list.
- Tick to confirm you have read and agree to the terms and conditions.
- Click Continue.
- Check the summary of your new account details.
- If all is correct, click Confirm.
Your new account details will be sent to your personal email address.
Log in to an alumni account
An Alumni account must be accessed using the PebblePad Personal installation in your corresponding geographical region.
Choose your region:
Use the personal username and password, not your institution account details.
Work with an alumni account
Your alumni account has two asset stores available.
- Personal Asset store
- Institution Asset store
You should know:
- New assets created in your alumni account will always be saved in your personal asset store.
- Institution assets can be opened, edited and shared as before.
- A copied asset from your Institution store will be saved to your personal asset store.
- You will not be able to access template resources provided to you by your institution.
- You will not be able to share with ATLAS for assessment.
It can take up to 24 hours for institution assets to appear in your new Alumni account.
