Your institution issues user accounts for their PebblePad installation. How to log in to PebblePad may differ depending on your organisation's IT network setup.
Your PebblePad account
Your PebblePad user account is issued by your institution. Please speak to your local PebblePad support team or IT Helpdesk for assistance.

Your PebblePad installation
Each university or college using PebblePad has their own installation. Your account is only valid for the institution where it was issued.
To find:
- Select the geographical region of your institution from the login page (opens in new tab).
- Choose your university or college from the dropdown menu.
- Click Choose organisation.
When using a search engine, check it is the correct PebblePad installation you are accessing.
Log in to PebblePad
The way you log in to PebblePad will depend upon your institution's IT network setup.
1. Local account
A local account uses the default log in page to access PebblePad:
To log in:
- Type your username into the text field.
- Type your password into the text field.
- Click Log In to PebblePad.
- Click Forgotten username link beneath the Username field.
- Type your email address into the text field.
- Click Submit.
- Open your email inbox.
- An email from PebblePad will confirm your account’s username
If an email does not arrive to your inbox, check your spam/junk folder, or try another email address if you have multiple accounts.
- Click the Forgotten password link beneath the Password field.
- Type your username into the text field.
- Click the Submit button.
- Open your email inbox.
- An email PebblePad will contain a password reset link.
- Click the link to return to PebblePad in your browser.
- Type, and confirm, a new password in the text fields
- Click the Confirm button
If an email does not arrive to your inbox, check your spam/junk folder.
- Click the Change your password link beneath the Log in to PebblePad button.
- Type your Username into the text field.
- Confirm your current password.
- Type a new password, and retype to confirm
- Click the Confirm button
2. Single Sign On account
Single Sign On (SSO) is when your institution integrates all online platforms together and you use one universal account to access them all. The PebblePad log in page will display the following options:
To log in:
- Select the I have an IT account… (or equivalent) option.
- Click Log in to PebblePad.
- You will be redirected to your institution’s log in page, typically a student portal.
- Enter the details you use for your institutional account.
- When approved, you will be redirected to your PebblePad dashboard.

3. VLE / LMS account
Where your institution uses the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) or Learning Management System (LMS) without using SSO, you must access PebblePad from the VLE or LMS course links each time.
To log in:
- Log in to your Institution's VLE/LMS with your VLE/LMS account.
- Navigate to a course containing a link to PebblePad.
- Click the PebblePad link to open PebblePad.
Your VLE or LMS account details will not work on the PebblePad login page.

Examples of a VLE or LMS are Blackboard, Brightspace, Canvas, Moodle. Your institution may use a local rebranded name for the VLE or LMS.
