Link multiple PebblePad accounts to one another to give you access to all your assets in one place. Useful if you have used PebblePad at different universities.

What are linked PebblePad accounts?

Linked PebblePad accounts let you access all your assets from within one account, rather than needing to log in to different locations.

For example: you may progress through your learning journey and study at two different institutions, both of whom use PebblePad: 

• Account 1 (e.g. undergraduate)
• Account 2 (e.g. postgraduate)

By linking your undergraduate account, your postgraduate account can be your main account from where you view all your work, past and present.

Link a PebblePad account

This is a two-step process which must be completed in the correct order.

Step 1:

1. Go to the account to be added within another account.
2. From the burger menu, choose Additional settings > External services.
   
   
   
   
3. Click the Link PebblePad accounts button.
   
   
   
   
4. Select the Generate code button.
   
   
   
   
5. Copy the code in the text area and keep safe.
   
   
   
   
6. Close this window and logout of this account

Step 2:

1. Go to the account to be your main account
2. From the burger menu, choose Additional settings > External services.
3. Click the Link PebblePad accounts button.
4. Select the Use code button.
5. Paste the code you kept in the text area.
   
   
   
   
6. Click Submit code to see summary of the account you are linking to.
7. If correct, click Confirm link button.

This process links accounts one-way, e.g. account 1 added within account 2.  For a two-way link, repeat the process in reverse.

Using a linked account

Your main account will show two assets stores:

1. Main Asset Store
2. Linked Asset Store

 You should know:

• New assets created in your asset store will always be saved in your main asset store.
• Linked assets can be opened, edited and shared as before, 
• A copied asset from the linked asset store will be saved to the main asset store.
• You will not be able to access template resources made available to the linked account

Link multiple accounts

It is possible to link multiple PebblePad accounts by repeating the steps. 

Unlink an account

Unlinking one account from another will stop you gaining access to the linked account's assets. 

To unlink:

1. From the burger menu, choose Additional settings > External services.
2. The page will display all linked accounts.
3. Click the X to the right of the account you want to unlink
